Built in West Palm Beach.
Back on the Air.
Palm Beach Radio began in 2009 as an independent internet radio station built around music, live broadcasts, local voices, and whatever else we thought was worth putting on the air.
Over the years, PBR became a home for DJ sets, talk shows, interviews, comedy, culture, local personalities, and creative projects coming out of West Palm Beach. It was never supposed to sound like traditional radio. That was part of the point.
After losing our friend and station founder Mike Cappuccio in 2019, keeping the station going never felt quite the same. PBR eventually went quiet.
In 2026, Palm Beach Radio went back on the air. We’re starting again with music through SoFlo Exotica, while leaving room for new shows, local projects, and whatever Palm Beach Radio becomes next.
In Memory Of
Three voices. A lasting legacy.
Palm Beach Radio was shaped by people whose creativity, personality, and friendship became part of the station itself. We remember our founder Mike Cappuccio, along with Nick Macaluso and Ken Spellman — friends and collaborators who were part of the Palm Beach Radio story and are no longer with us. Their presence remains part of what PBR was, and part of why carrying it forward still matters.

Founder of Palm Beach TV, Mike was a visionary media creator and technology builder whose energy, creativity, and instinct for where digital media was heading helped shape everything PBR became.
Nicholas Macaluso
3/7/78 – 5/14/26
Nick brought music, personality, humor, and an unmistakable creative spirit to Palm Beach Radio, and he is remembered for his contagious smile, caring heart, wild ideas, and the way he connected with people.
Kenneth K Spellman
8/9/59 – 9/11/23
A broadcaster, technologist, educator, and mentor, Ken devoted his life to music and communications, from helping launch Sirius Satellite Radio to teaching and creating opportunities for others through broadcasting and the arts.
