A Local Media Platform — Built Before Podcasting Was Mainstream

Palm Beach Radio began as an internet radio company on August 28, 2009, broadcasting original programming focused on local business, music, arts, and entertainment — live from downtown West Palm Beach, Florida.

Long before creators had easy tools, templates, and platforms, we were already doing the work:
planning shows, producing audio, running live broadcasts, coordinating guests, and publishing content for the local community.

Over time, that “internet radio” foundation evolved naturally into what the world now calls podcasting.

From Streaming to Podcast Production

In 2015, Palm Beach Radio expanded into streaming production and multi-platform distribution — a direct precursor to modern podcast workflows.

We produced live shows and multi-casted content across platforms, supporting a wide range of programming including:

  • comedy shows
  • live DJ sets
  • interviews with local leaders and business owners
  • legal and political discussions
  • entertainment and culture content
  • influencer-style talk programming

That era built what most podcast creators are missing today: real production experience under pressure — with planning, deadlines, technical complexity, and an audience expecting consistency.

Today, Palm Beach Radio brings that same production discipline into podcasting.

Producer-Led Podcasting

A lot of podcasts start with motivation and good intentions.

Most stall because there’s no producer-led system behind the scenes.

Palm Beach Radio is built around the belief that podcasting works best when it’s treated as a production discipline, not a side project.

Producer-led means:

  • the show is structured with intention
  • the workflow is repeatable and sustainable
  • audio quality stays consistent over time
  • publishing stays reliable
  • the host is supported (not overwhelmed)

This is what allows shows to last, grow, and build real authority.

About Travis Dempsey (Producer)

I’m Travis Dempsey — audio producer, engineer, and educator.

I’ve worked across music production, audio engineering, and long-form media, and I began producing podcasts in 2006, back when publishing required hand-coding RSS feeds and manually submitting shows to early platforms.

That early experience shaped how I approach production today:
systems, workflows, consistency, and sustainability.

Palm Beach Radio exists so clients don’t have to guess their way through production.

Honoring T. Michael Cappuccio (“12”)

Palm Beach Radio was co-founded with my longtime friend and creative partner, T. Michael Cappuccio — known to many simply as “12.”

Michael and I were friends for over 30 years, and we built Palm Beach Radio together as a platform for local voices, music, culture, and community.

Michael orginally started Palm Beach TV (PalmBeach.TV), where he was not only a media creator, but also a technology builder — a true pioneer in digital broadcasting and cloud-based web and app development. He had the rare ability to see where media was going before most people even understood the shift.

Michael passed away on December 24, 2019, but his impact remains deeply felt across the Palm Beach and West Palm Beach community.

This relaunch is personal. It’s a continuation of what we started — and it’s dedicated to honoring his legacy with the same creativity, heart, and forward-thinking spirit he brought to everything he built.

Why We’re Relaunching Now

Palm Beach Radio is entering a new chapter with a clear focus: helping podcasters produce better shows — with fewer mistakes, less friction, and more consistency.

Podcasting has matured. The opportunity is bigger than ever — but so is the competition.

The podcasters who win over the next decade will be the ones who operate with:

  • production discipline
  • consistent publishing
  • professional audio standards
  • clarity of message
  • long-term sustainability

That’s what we’re here to build.
